Hottest Take of the Week - Packers training camp, week 2

Another week of training camp means another week of takes to review.

With the second week of training camp coming to a close, we take a look at the takes to come out of pre-Family Night practices.

To start things off, Ian Rapoport shared his two biggest takeaways from his visit to camp. He noticed that Bryan Bulaga was moving along in his ACL recovery much faster than expected (Note: Bryan was activated off the PUP on 8/4). Ian also called the way Gutekunst and the new regime run the team “a whole new world”. This, of course, brings up images of Disney’s Aladdin...right?

The many, many hype trains that continue to roll from camp are also examined. Jake Kumerow is the talk of the town, and even caught the eye of Aaron Rodgers himself. But that doesn’t stop JK Scott from getting plenty of attention himself. The stop watches are out and the punts are being graded. Could he be the new Jeff Janis?

Jason Wilde, co-host of Wilde and Tausch, seems to be struggling to let Jordy Nelson go. His twitter page has a litany of references to Jordy and how he is doing in Oakland.

Finally, Ryan Wood of Packers News wrote an article about Kyler Fackrell’s lone 1-on-1 drill win against David Bakhtiari and how it might be the beginning of what is to come for the 3rd year OLB. Could he be a late-bloomer who will be a quality depth chart? Maybe. Realistically, it just means he won a single rep in training camp.
