Thursday's Green Bay Packers practice took yet another sour turn as we learned that rookie cornerback and punt/kick returner Micah Hyde missed the session with a groin injury. However, Hyde made a promise to reporters after Thursday's practice that he would be back on the field on Friday and ready to go for the game against the Vikings on Sunday.
Like so many other injuries to afflict the Packers this season, the first part of that promise did not come true today.
#Packers without four CBs at practice; Hyde (groin), Shields (hamstring), Hayward (hamstring) and Nixon (knee).

Hyde was held out of practice again today, putting his status for Sunday's game very much in doubt. With three other corners missing practice as well, that would leave the Packers with just three healthy corners in Tramon Williams, Davon House, and Jarrett Bush.
The good news is that Williams has been playing great football the past few weeks, Bush played well in limited action in the dime package last week, and House has been solid (if inconsistent) recently. The bad news is that Jarrett Bush and Jerron McMillian would be the top options in the nickel and dime defense if none of the injured corners can play.
UPDATE: The team announced that Hyde is probable for Sunday's game and Shields is questionable.
